We Are All Cyborgs Now

How Generative AI is Changing You, Your Students, and Your Class

Generative AI can act as an “exocortex” for knowledge work: it can extend people’s abilities, but uncritical use may weaken some cognitive skills. The talk examines what universities may need to change in teaching, learning, research and professional identity.

Audience takeaways

  • A usable mental model of AI-augmented knowledge work
  • Questions for redesigning learning without outsourcing judgment

Founders, accelerators, business schools and innovation teams

The New Makers

Entrepreneurship Through No-Code and AI Coding

This talk examines how no-code and AI coding affect the technical co-founder bottleneck. It draws on building with Replit, Cursor and Lovable and asks what full-stack founders mean for entrepreneurship education and innovation ecosystems.

Audience takeaways

  • Where AI coding changes the economics of experimentation
  • New capabilities and the responsibilities they bring for founders

General conferences, leadership teams and curious professional audiences

Alien AIs and How They Think, Laugh and Love

Better mental models for unfamiliar intelligence

This talk examines why modern AI systems feel unfamiliar. They are neither conventional software nor people. That distinction helps audiences use AI more effectively and evaluate its outputs.

Audience takeaways

  • Why anthropomorphism both helps and misleads
  • Practical habits for calibrating trust in AI advice

Organizations and communities getting started with AI

Let AI Give You Wings

An Introduction to Generative AI

An introduction to generative AI covering LLM basics, models and tools, prompting, and ways to add reference knowledge and tool access.

Audience takeaways

A simple process

Useful starts with context

  1. 01

    Brief

Share the host, audience, goals, date and time zone, preferred format and length, budget range, recording plans and accessibility needs.

  2. 02

    Fit & scope

Align on the topic, level of tailoring, preparation, format and logistics. Fees depend on these variables and virtual versus in-person delivery.

  3. 03

    Prepare

Confirm the run of show, audience context, AV and any participation or laptop requirements. Custom work is scoped around clear learning questions.

Practical details

Organizer FAQ

What does it cost?

Fees and honoraria depend on the format, length, preparation and tailoring required, and whether delivery is virtual or in person. A ballpark budget in the inquiry is helpful.

How is travel handled?

For in-person engagements requiring flights, Mohammad generally prefers to book his own travel so the schedule is reliable and sustainable. Confirm reimbursement and other travel details during scoping.

Can the session be recorded?

Please disclose recording or live-stream plans and intended use in advance. When a host cannot pay speakers, Mohammad may consider alternative value such as a recording or participant/public access; this is a conversation, not guaranteed availability.

What time zone and setup?

Mohammad is based in Calgary (Mountain Time). Plan for a screen and reliable audio; larger rooms need a microphone. Live demos need strong Wi-Fi, and hands-on workshops need laptop-friendly seating.

What formats are possible?

Virtual or in-person keynotes, invited talks, corporate training, executive education, workshops, multi-session programs, founder/community sessions, fireside chats and panels are available to discuss.

What should be in the first message?

Event and host, location or virtual platform, proposed dates and flexibility, time zone, audience type and size, desired result, format and length, budget, recording plans, accessibility needs and available AV.
